The graceful style of a sash window (also known as vertical sliders) is difficult to beat. Timber sashes, however, particularly old ones, are troublesome and require regular maintenance. Profile 2000’s Vertical Slider has been designed to provide the authentic, period appearance without the drawbacks. It’s so good that planning departments have accepted it – even in conservation areas.
When we designed our Vertical Slider, we kept the basics, the elegant proportions and the two sliding panes that are so effective for ventilation. After that, we worked on improvements.
There are optional Georgian bars and sash horns to match original designs and a consistent period look with ovolo detailing to the frame, sash, beads and cills. These are beautiful, sliding-sash windows that are easy to maintain, insulated and secure. What’s more they can achieve a Band ‘A’ Window Energy Rating. Grace and elegance are now combined with performance and all the benefits of 21st century materials and technology.
